OTHEREGG GENESIS: THE FIRST ON-CHAIN ADVENTURE.


Welcome Voyager! Welcome to Secrets of the Primordial, the first phase of our on-chain adventure. Prepare to make Offerings, earn OtherShards, and uncover the ancient forces that shape the world of OtherEgg Genesis.

Event Synopsis

As you journey across the seven worlds, witnessing civilizations and landscapes beyond imagination, one thing becomes disturbingly clear:

You do not exist. The worlds do not see you. Their people do not feel you. You are a phantom. Unseen, unheard, untouched.

Until you find them. The OtherEggs.

They respond. They recognize you, not with fear, but familiarity. As if echoing something ancient within you. This resonance begins your quest, a journey not of conquest, but of revelation. A pull toward the hidden forces that bind this universe together.

And then... the Primordial notices you.

An ancient being older than the worlds themselves, the Primordial exists to maintain cosmic balance.
And you, overflowing with Awareness, threaten that balance.

But the Primordial does not destroy you.
Instead, it offers you a choice.

You may redirect your Awareness through Offerings.
In return, a rare and powerful essence may form: OtherShards — crystallized fragments of your overflowing Awareness.

But not all energy can be contained.

Some Offerings will be lost to the Void, claimed by forces that even the Primordial cannot always hold back. Yet in time, even those lost will return.

HOW IT WORKS:

Down below is the login screen of the game. You can connect your wallet and sign in to enter. On your first login, an intro video will play. If you accept the Primordial’s Offer, the video won’t appear again and you’ll enter the world directly. (Note: You’ll see some graphics from the testing phase, so they may not be up to date.)

Once inside, you’ll see four different interactive options (for now):

  1. Profile (top left)

  2. General Chat (bottom left)

  3. Leaderboard (top right)

  4. Primordial’s Soul (middle left)

Each of these provides different information. Let’s start with Profile.

PROFILE: On the Profile screen, you can interact with your profile, choose your nickname and change your pfp (Edit Profile). You’ll also see your connected wallet and your user ID.

There are three additional tabs: OtherEggs (which displays your OtherEggs holdings), History (which shows the outcomes of your Offerings), and Inventory (which displays the items you’ve gained from different Offerings).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Duration of the Event: 17th of May 12:00 PM EST - 31st of May 12:00 PM EST. After that time, the Primordial won’t accept any more offerings for the time being.

  • OtherShards by OtherEgg Genesis are ERC-1155C NFTs that can be earned by playing the gamified experience 'Secrets of the Primordial' through Offerings to the Primordial.

  • You can earn as many OtherShards as you like during the 'Secrets of the Primordial' launch event, which will last for 14 days. Rewards are based on the Offerings you make — each type has different chances of success or failure, depending on the Offering you make.

  • No. The goal of the 'Secrets of the Primordial' launch event is to encourage players to make Offerings and reward those who make the most impactful ones. The summoning of Relics will be part of a future event.

  • For the 'Secrets of the Primordial' launch event, we’ll have a leaderboard with rewards for the top 50 players. Those who make the most impactful Offerings will earn rare Relics.

  • Any Offerings “Claimed by the Void” will be locked until the end of the event. After the event concludes, a dedicated claim page will allow you to recover your “lost” Offerings.

  • Secrets of the Primordial is currently available only on desktop.

    We may explore mobile support in the future.

GENERAL CHAT: Moving on to General Chat, here’s where you’ll be able to chat with other users that are online.

LEADERBOARD:

Next is the leaderboard, which showcases how many points each user has accumulated during the event (Event duration shown below is a placeholder). Points are earned based on the type of Offerings you choose to make. There are three types of Offerings:

  • Modest (1 point)

  • Generous (6 points)

  • Celestial (15 points)

Each time you make an Offering, you’ll receive points accordingly (it can take up to 30 seconds to show the updated points after making an offering). More on the rewards and how Offerings work down below.

PRIMORDIAL’S SOUL: Now let’s talk about the “Primordial’s Soul”. This is your main hub, where you can make Offerings and check your active Offerings. You’ll also notice a mysterious “???”, something we have planned for the future. Simply click on the Moon located on the Primordial’s body to open the interface. Here’s what you can do in this area:

  • Inactive – Displays which OtherEggs, Gobs, or Gs on Ape have not been offered yet.

  • Active Offerings – Shows the Offerings you've made. The number in parentheses “( )” indicates how many are ready to claim.

  • Top-right preview – You'll see an image representing OtherEggs, Gobs, or Gs on Ape. Clicking it reveals how many inactive assets you currently hold.

  • Initiate Offering – Clicking this will open a new tab, where you can begin your Offering to the Primordial. (More on this below.)

When you click “Initiate Offering,” you’ll be able to choose from three different types of Offerings (you can only make one offering at a time):

  • Modest – 1 OtherEgg, 1 Gob, or 1 Gs on Ape

  • Generous – 5 OtherEggs

  • Celestial – 10 OtherEggs

Each Offering has different rewards and risks associated with it. The greater the Offering, the higher the chance of receiving a rarer OtherShard and also the smaller the chance of being Claimed by the Void.

⚠️ Note: Any Offerings “Claimed by the Void” will be locked until the end of the event. After the event concludes, a dedicated claim page will allow you to recover your “lost” Offerings.

Once you’ve dragged or auto-offered your items, click “Make an Offering.” This will trigger two transactions:

  1. One to approve the collection contract (only required once per collection)

  2. One to confirm the Offering itself

Note: Only OtherEggs can be used for Generous and Celestial Offerings.

After submitting, you’ll be taken to the “Active Offerings” tab, where you can view the time remaining before you can claim your Offering. Each Offering takes 12 hours to complete before it's ready to be claimed.

In the “Active Offerings” tab, you’ll be able to view your current Offerings. You can claim them individually or use the “Claim All” button for each Offering type. This means you can only “Claim All” one type of Offering at a time.

Now let’s talk about Rewards.

Every time you win an Offering, you’ll automatically mint an OtherShard, which will be sent to your wallet. OtherShards are ERC-1155C NFTs that will play an important role in game progression down the line.

Here are the different rarities of OtherShards you can obtain:

  • Flicker

  • Echo

  • Blaze

  • Shadowflame

Different types of Offerings provide different chances of earning each rarity.

RELICS

In the near future, one of the first use cases for OtherShards will be redeeming them for Relics. Relics will be vital to progressing in the next phase of the game. Here’s a sneak peek at the kinds of Relics you’ll be able to obtain — we have 139 different ones.

For the “Secrets of the Primordial” event, leaderboard rewards are as follows:

  • Rank 1: 1× Eternal Relic

  • Ranks 2–10: 1× Mythic Relic

  • Ranks 11–50: 1× Legendary Relic

We’re using an on-chain VRF system for the Offerings, powered by our own custom VRF contracts deployed on ApeChain and fulfillers hosted on our servers. This ensures that every outcome is both random and verifiable on-chain.
